The beginning of summer

We are settling into our new normal now.  To be honest, its not much different than our pre-Lydia normal. The boys have really learned to be more patient and don't seem to mind having a little less of my attention.  I swear they have grown up so much over the past month.  Their language is finally started to take off (full sentences now and repeating EVERYTHING. I realize I need to stop saying "oh crap" so much).

Lydia just seems to be along for the ride.  Her schedule is fantastic.  She goes to bed at 7:30, same time as the boys.  Wakes up to eat at 1am and then again around 5am or 6am.  Then she sleeps until 9am or 10, which gives me time to get the boys up, feed and dress everyone and get a shower myself.  Of course, as soon as I push "publish", she will change it up on me!

My grandparents came by Saturday on their way home from Florida and got to meet Lydia and see the boys. Matt's mom came in Sunday and stayed for the better part of the week.  Her visit coincided with Matt's 1st business trip which was nice and such a big help.  Megan & Ryan come on Saturday for the weekend, we cant wait to see them! I booked Matt a trip to Seattle to see friends and watch some Sounder's games over his 30th birthday.  When he goes out West, the kids and I are flying south to spend a week with my family.  We all leave on Wednesday.  Lots of stuff to keep us busy!

The biggest and best news of all came on April 11.  Dave and Kristen (Matt's older brother and his wife) welcomed their son, William Robert, into the world and he is super adorable.  He was a bit early but still 6lbs 10oz and we cannot wait to meet him in person soon.  Being and Aunt and Uncle for the 1st time is pretty exciting.  We are so happy for them!

Boys day at the aquarium!

Our 1st rainy day in months!!

Strawberry picking with Grammie-

Among the strange assortment of animals at the strawberry-picking farm was this male peacock who was trying his hardest to impress his female companion (who kept running away). When she wasn't paying attention, he started vibrating his feathers, it was wild.

Chances are Evan will not be asking for a pet peacock for his birthday.

Matt took the boys to the truck show (a fundraiser the Junior Women's League hosts annually) again-

These are the pictures from the last 2 truck shows, look how much Alex has grown up this year!! Scary!
